This post was inspired by a question on my previous blog post, linked here...
"Do you really need all the studies and external information to know who you are?"
The short answer is no. How can I discover god inside if I'm searching outside?
I have all the information inside me, and my journey will take me through all the necessary teachings to discover this knowledge in me.
It does leave me with a bit of a conundrum as even this answer I have learned from my studies - grimace emoji. This is exactly what the current part of my journey entails - curbing my addiction to external spiritual information and starting to BE. Walking the talk. Not rushing after the next guru for an answer. Becoming...
The same holds true for my journey towards becoming a conscious creator. The seed and fuel for my creation should come from inside, but for years I have run to the multitude of convenient books, videos and talks for a starting point. It is now necessary for me to take responsibility for my creation. It’s not always easy when my first reaction is to defer to some other wise person’s teaching.
It sure is an interesting journey though. I am learning that by constantly looking outside myself for information I am taking the easy way out. I am not honouring the wisdom inside. And facing those fears of “but what if I’m wrong?”, is exactly what the journey is about. It’s not called a 'leap of faith' for no reason.
How do you know when you should start trusting yourself instead of looking for more information?
